Born in Parkersburg, WV, Dr. Kinter received his B.A. degree in Microbiology from Clemson University, SC. He received his medical degree from the University of SC in Charleston. He completed his family medicine residency at the Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, NC in 1994 and has been Board Certified in Family Medicine since 1994. Dr. Kinter joined Midway Medical Center in 1999.
He enjoys the outdoors, fishing, and hiking. Dr. Kinter and his family reside in Waynesville.
Born in Brazil and raised in Sanford, FL, Dr. Ramsey received her B.A. in Biology at Covenant College in Lookout Mt, GA. She received her medical degree from Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in MO. She completed her residency in Family Medicine training at Forest Park Hospital in St. Louis, MO in 2007 and has been Board Certified in Family Medicine since 2007. Dr. Ramsey joined Midway Medical Center in 2009.
She enjoys hiking, running 5 K’s, and spending time with her family. She also enjoys traveling, having spent time in seven foreign countries, including a medical mission trip to Ecuador. Dr. Ramsey and her family reside in Clyde.
A Haywood County native, Dr. Ritter received her BS in Biology from UNC-Chapel Hill and medical degree from UNC-Chapel Hill. She completed her Family Medicine residency at UNC-Chapel Hill where she served as Chief Resident and has been Board Certified in Family Medicine since 2012. Dr. Ritter joined Midway Medical Center in 2012.
After many years in Chapel Hill, she has a love of Carolina basketball. She also enjoys swimming and kayaking.
Dr. Kinser enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife and two children. They love activities such as hiking, fishing, camping, and canoeing.
Dr. Porter comes to us from two generations of family medicine. Originally from southeast Kansas, a rural town of about 5,000 people.
Dr. Porter spent over two years in Uganda with the Peace Corps. His medical degree is from Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans. He and his wife Olivia have two daughters and enjoy doing things outdoors especially working in the garden.
Dr. Varner grew up in Lexington, NC. After graduating High School, he went on to receive his Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from Appalachian State University, with double minor degrees in Biology and Psychology. He attended medical school at Campbell University School of Osteopathic Medicine in Buies Creek, NC and recently completed his Family Medicine Internship and Residency at Bon Secours St. Francis Medical Center in Midlothian, VA. During his time at Appalachian State University, he gained hands on experience while volunteering in Peru, South Africa, and Zambia. Dr. Varner says, “When I initially decided I wanted to go into medicine, my priority was to develop a lasting relationship with my patients, be a part of the community, and make a lasting impact for the betterment of entire families that I would have the privilege to care for.” Dr. Varner has special interests in weight management and nutrition, diabetes, hypertension and chronic kidney disease. In his spare time, he enjoys hiking, camping, gardening, playing music, wood working and spending time with his sweet Golden Doodle, Henry.

Dr. Roddy grew up in Texas and received her Bachelor of Arts in University Scholars at Baylor University in Waco, TX. She then attended the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine where she attained her Master of Science in Reproductive and Sexual Health Research. From there, she went on to attend medical school at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley School of Medicine in Edinburg, TX and recently completed her family medicine training and residency at the Institute for Family Health – Harlem-Mount Sinai Family Residency Program in New York City, NY.
Dr. Roddy has special interests in pediatric care, from newborns to adolescents, adult primary care, family planning, and gynecologic care.
Having relocated from New York, Dr. Roddy and her family are excited about a less crowded and more simplistic life here in WNC. She is a true Southerner and enjoys food, hiking, and fishing. She is also a PADI-Certified Open Water Scuba Diver who loves to travel and has visited 18 countries.
Dr. Chepeleff grew up in Vernon, CT with dreams of owning a bakery, but everything changed after a college marketing class sparked a passion for business and, eventually, healthcare. After working in various healthcare roles, she discovered her true calling: becoming a doctor.
She attended medical school at Tufts University in Boston, where she focused on primary care, women’s health, and medical education, with a strong interest in serving rural communities. She completed her residency at MAHEC.
What inspires her most is building meaningful relationships with patients and helping them navigate their health with confidence and clarity.
When she’s not working, she enjoys knitting, cooking for her family, hiking, and swimming.
