Dr. Christopher Porter grew up in rural Kansas where he comes from two generations of Family Medicine. After working over two years in Uganda with the Peace Corps, he knew he wanted to make an impact by working in medicine. He received his undergraduate degree at the University of Kansas and his medical degree from Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans.
He and his wife Olivia have two daughters, ages two and a half, and a newborn. Dr. Porter worked briefly in our area during his training and has been drawn to the incredible beauty of Western North Carolina ever since. Along with his love of medicine, he enjoys all things outdoors especially gardening. He also builds and plays guitars.
At Midway, we have something to offer every generation of the family. We provide well-baby visits, geriatric healthcare, and everything in between.
